Ivan Rakitic was strongly linked with Paris Saint-Germain as part of the deal that would have seen Neymar join Barcelona last summer, but now it appears as though the Croatian is once again the subject of discussions between the two clubs.
This time Neymar’s name is off the table, as Barcelona look to cash in on the Croatian before his contract expires in the summer of 2021.
This information comes from Foot Mercato, who also report that Rakitic would be in favour of a move to PSG.
Rakitic has also been linked with the likes of Sevilla and Atletico Madrid, but what seems to be increasingly clear is that he will not be at the Camp Nou next season.
This season, Rakitic has played 36 games in all competitions, of which 18 have been as a starter.
Despite the uncertainty around his future, the 32-year-old has remained an important player for Ernesto Valverde and, subsequently, Quique Setien.
