Celta Vigo have made an enquiry to Real Madrid about taking Takefusa Kubo on loan for the 2020/21 season.
The Galician side want to add more creativity and they believe that the Japanese playmaker, in addition to the arrivals of Alvaro Vadillo and Nolito, could add something to Oscar Garcia’s team.
There are a few options on the table for Celta, but it is true that Kubo is the priority right now.
Oscar Garcia himself was the one who recommended that the club go after the 19-year-old, who spent the 2019/20 campaign at Real Mallorca, and the coach knows him well.
However, it will not be an easy deal to pull off.
Kubo’s impressive end to the season at Mallorca did not go unnoticed, with many clubs – Osasuna, Real Sociedad, Getafe, Real Betis, Granada, Real Valladolid, Levante, Huesca, Ajax, Lazio and more – all getting in contact with Real Madrid about taking him on loan next season.
In addition, the high salary of the forward could also be a problem, compounded by the fact that Real Madrid would want a fee for the loan.
However, Kubo does not have a place in Zinedine Zidane’s squad next season and Real Madrid want him to get further experience, which opens up Celta as a possibility.
