With Ivan Rakitic off to Sevilla, it looks like Arturo Vidal will be the next player to leave Barcelona this summer.
Inter and Juventus are leading the race to sign the Chilean, who played 43 games in all competitions in the 2019/20 season.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Antonio Conte wants to partner Vidal with N’Golo Kante in his Inter midfield.
The Nerazzurri have reportedly offered Vidal a two-year deal worth six million euros per season.
As for the player himself, he’s always been keen on working under Conte.
Returning to Turin
A return to Juventus, where he spent five years earlier in his career, also appeals to Vidal.
“Andrea Pirlo was incredible as a player, so imagine him as a coach,” the midfielder said in an interview on YouTube.
“If he or [Juve] call me, I’d be happy [to go]. I have lots of love for them, but I have to be calm about it now.”
What’s clear is that Vidal’s stock is still high in Italy, where he won four successive Serie A titles at Juventus.
