Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, has been in the spotlight lately over his eviction notice to herders in Oke Ogun area of Oyo state. Noble Reporters Media can confirm.

Blaming herders for the high level of insecurity in towns and villages in Ibarapa local government area of the state, Igboho gave them seven days to vacate the area.

In an interview with NoRM‘s known Media, Oye Adetunji (not real names), who grew up with Sunday Igboho, said his kinsman regularly entertained people while growing up.

“I have known Sunday Igboho since he was a child. We grew up on the same street in Igboho. We are both from Modeke area of the town. Our family houses are not far from each other,” he said.

“While we were growing up, he would assemble us and we would follow him to play around the town. From childhood when he was attending Community Primary School, Modeke, he cultivated the idea of leading a group of people.“He was a comedian.

I remember that regularly, he did things that made people laugh. Back then, during weekends, he would dress like a pregnant woman and then instruct one of us to beat a drum while he danced around the town.

Wherever people gathered to relax, he would go there to dance and make them laugh. He was a restless and lively person as a young boy.”

Adetunji, who is now living and working in Okeho town in Oyo state, said Igboho was a regular host to pupils who were sent away from school in those days.

He said his childhood friend eventually left the sleepy town to realise his desire to be a leader.

“I also remembered that in those days, when pupils were sent home from school for one reason or the other, they would head to Sunday Igboho house instead of going to their different homes,” he said.“He eventually left Igboho at a time in his life. But he is visiting the town regularly.

Whenever he comes home till date, it’s always like carnival; everyone will know that Sunday is around because he enters the town like a king.

Many people will pay him visit. In turn, he will also pay visits to his friends, the town’s traditional rulers and other leaders.

“He also pays visit to leaders of all religions in the town. That is why it is difficult to know his religion because he identifies with all religious groups and contributes to all their activities.”

When asked if indeed Igboho posses metaphysical powers, Adetunji said it is true, adding that Igboho’s grandfather, who had some forms of power, might have transferred it to his grandson.“The metaphysical power he has is beyond imagination… his grandfather was known to possess some powers.

Everyone who lived in the town before his death would know of the power of Sunday’s grandfather,” he said.“I knew the man well because we usually passed the front of his house everyday. He was around 95 years old at the time.

From stories we heard, many people visited him to seek his blessings. What I also heard from elders of the town is that if he cursed anyone, it would come to pass.

“Igboho is well known in Oke Ogun area of Oyo state because it is an ancient town and because we have scholars from the town, but lately, Sunday has added to its popularity.”

Interesting Story.

A relatively known name in Oyo and Osun states, Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a Sunday Igboho took upon himself the role of a freedom fighter for Yoruba land by dislodging criminal herders from Igangan in Ibarapa, Oyo State.

The sad event of June 5, 2011, which saw some undergraduates murdered at Iwo Road interchange, Ibadan, by supposed thugs of the Oyo State branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and the killings in Akinyele area of the city between June and September 2020, by Sunday Shodipe, were two security breaches that made the state notorious.Igboho’s visit to Seriki Hausa of Igangan, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir, was celebrated for two reasons.

One, he had visited Abdulkadri a week earlier and given him and his kinsmen a seven-day ultimatum to vacate Ibarapa to end criminal activities of some herders in the town.

This singular act, which many believed was courageous, confronting a perceived resident who he believed had links with criminal herders in the area, made his move heroic .

Two, Igboho’s visit was in defiance to Governor Seyi Makinde’s directive to security agencies to arrest and treat him as a criminal should he carry out his threat to forcefully eject Abdulkadri and his kinsmen from the land.

Abdulkadri had reported Igboho to Makinde over the threat, stressing that he and his kinsmen had been living in Oyo State for decades.

He said their children were born there, adding that they grew with others in the communities. He emphasised that there exists inter-marriages among Fulani and Yoruba in the state.

Igboho also fired back at Makinde in recorded voice notes that surfaced on social media, warning him to shelve his directive because, according to him (Igboho), he was out to liberate Yorubaland from the criminals. He also warned the governor not to order his arrest by security agencies.

But Nigerians were surprised when the video of Igboho’s weekend visit to eject Abdulkadri surfaced on social media (on Friday).

While most Yoruba saw it as a liberating move, others interpreted Igboho’s action as an affront on the government of Oyo State and security agencies. The nation is still nursing the controversy that trailed Igboho’s visit.

The man Sunday Igboho

According to him, he was born 47 years ago in Igboho in Oke-Ogun, Oyo State.

Chief Adeyemo hails from Aladinkun compound, Modeke, Igboho, Oorelope Local Government Area.

He grew up normally like any other child but began to manifest traits of unusual stubbornness and toughness as a teenager.

He attended primary and junior secondary schools in Igboho before moving to Modakeke in Osun State with his father. His last school in Igboho was Baptist High School. He relocated with his father to Modakeke where he grew up fighting in the community.

He learnt a vocation and fraternised with NURTW members, but he is not known as a major member of the union. He adopted the nickname ‘Igboho’ in Modakeke.

He was described as the son of an Igboho man. Igboho was said to have acquired mystical traditional powers to command guns and other weapons into appearance. This is his most outstanding ability.

With this ability and power, he fought on the side of Modakeke during the 1996/97 Ife/Modakeke riot.

He left the community after his fame grew, attracting envy among people in Modakeke community.

His fame as a local activist during the Modakeke/Ife riot attracted him to politicians, who took over leadership from the military with the return of civilian rule in 1999.

He worked for a former governor of Osun State and settled in Osogbo for some years.

He later worked as an independent traditional security coordinator for a former governor of Oyo State Rashidi Ladoja at the heat of the violent crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 2004 to 2009.

His success at protecting Ladoja at the PDP rally in Akure, Ondo State capital, in December 2006, where the former governor was believed to be targeted for a major attack, remains a mystery to political watchers.

As a result, his fame rose in Ibadan and Oyo State given that Ladoja enjoyed massive sympathy among the populace, which condemned the way the PDP impeached him ‘illegally’ and gave the governorship ticket to his deputy, Adebayo Alao-Akala, in the 2007 election instead of allowing him (Ladoja).

Igboho’s relationship with Ladoja enhanced the former’s reputation among the people. When the late Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimola (2011-2019) caged the activities of hoodlums and reduced violence and brigandage in the city, Igboho went into the business of selling cars and landed properties.

Those who have had encounters with him confirmed that he used to fight for victims of land grabbing. For that, he was given plots of lands. He is one of the promoters of Oduduwa Republic.

  2. What’s up?
I found this article very interesting…please read!
Do you remember the blockbuster hit film The Matrix that was released in 1999? You may not know this, but it has deep spiritual implications concerning the times we are living in and Bible prophecy.
It tells a story of how these “agents” are trying to turn us into machines. We are closer then ever before for this to become a reality when they cause us to receive an implantable microchip in our body during a time when physical money will be no more.
You may have seen on NBC news concerning the implantable RFID microchip that some people are getting put in their hand to make purchases, but did you know this microchip matches perfectly with prophecy in the Bible?
“He (the false prophet who deceives many by his miracles) causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name…
You also may have heard of the legendary number “666” that people have been speculating for possibly thousands of years on what it actually means. This article shares something I haven’t seen before, and I don’t think there could be any better explanation for what it means to calculate 666. This is no hoax. Very fascinating stuff!
…Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666″ (Revelation 13:16-18 NKJV).
To see all the details showing why the Bible foretold of all these things, check out this article!
    Article: https://biblewoke.com/rfid-mark-of-the-beast-666-revealed
GOD is sending out His end time warning:
“Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, ‘If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name’” (Revelation 14:9-11).
In the Islamic religion they have man called the Mahdi who is known as their messiah of whom they are waiting to take the stage. There are many testimonies from people online who believe this man will be Barack Obama who is to be the biblical Antichrist based off dreams they have received. I myself have had strange dreams about him like no other person. So much so that I decided to share this information.
He came on stage claiming to be a Christian with no affiliation to the Muslim faith…
“In our lives, Michelle and I have been strengthened by our Christian faith. But there have been times where my faith has been questioned — by people who don’t know me — or they’ve said that I adhere to a different religion, as if that were somehow a bad thing,” – Barack Obama
…but was later revealed by his own family members that he indeed is a devout Muslim.
So what’s in the name? The meaning of someones name can say a lot about a person. God throughout history has given names to people that have a specific meaning tied to their lives. How about the name Barack Obama? Let us take a look at what may be hiding beneath the surface…
“And He (Jesus) said to them (His disciples), ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven’” (Luke 10:18).
In the Hebrew language we can uncover the meaning behind the name Barack Obama.
Barack, also transliterated as Baraq, in Hebrew is: lightning
    baraq – Biblical definition:
From Strongs H1299; lightning; by analogy a gleam; concretely a flashing sword: – bright, glitter (-ing, sword), lightning. (Strongs Hebrew word H1300 baraq baw-rawk’)
Barak ‘O’bamah, The use of bamah is used to refer to the “heights” of Heaven.
    bamah – Biblical definition:
From an unused root (meaning to be high); an elevation: – height, high place, wave. (Strongs Hebrew word H1116 bamah baw-maw’)
The day following the election of Barack Obama (11/04/08), the winning pick 3 lotto numbers in Illinois (Obama’s home state) for 11/5/08 were 666.
Obama was a U.S. senator for Illinois, and his zip code was 60606.
Seek Jesus while He may be found…repent, confess and forsake your sins and trust in the savior! Jesus says we must be born again by His Holy Spirit to enter the kingdom of God…God bless!
