EndSARs: Adeboye expresses displeasure at Nigerian forces amid Lekki Massacre.

Adeboye in a statement released on Wednesday noted that the actions of the security operatives have worsened the situation.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, pastor Enoch Adeboye, has reacted to the attack on End SARS Protesters at the Lekki tollgate on Tuesday night.

The cleric condemned the actions of the Nigerian military and the police.

The cleric called on the youths to stay calm and avoid any illegal act.

He wondered why the police was yet to arrest attackers of peaceful protesters across Nigeria.

“I condemn in the strongest possible terms, attacks launched by the Nigerian military on unarmed young people, who have been peacefully protesting police brutality over the last 12 days as #EndSARS protests.”

Advertisements

“I am confounded that prior to the sad events at the #LekkiTollGate, the Nigeria Police failed to arrest the weapon-bearing hoodlums who were attacking the well-organized and non-violent #EndSARS protesters.”

“The condemnable actions of the military risks driving the agitations of the young people underground, thereby making the situation unmanageable.”

“I call on the Federal Government to thoroughly investigate the tragic events at Lekki and other parts of the country, give justice to all victims even as it engages the #EndSARS protesters to reach a common agreement to end police brutality.”

“I am also appealing to the Youths to allow peace reign & stop any form of action that would give the military any other form of excuse to attack”, the cleric wrote.

EndSARs: Daddy Freeze praises Adeboye after his support for protest.

Commenting on his verbal attacks on Nigerian pastors, Freeze asked Adeboye for forgiveness.

Daddy Freeze, a Nigerian radio personality, has commended Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), for supporting the #EndSARS protest.

Adeboye endorsed the protest against police brutality on Wednesday.

In a Facebook Live session, Daddy Freeze described Adeboye’s action as a welcome development that will assure protesters that they have the support of religious leaders in the call for police reform.

Freeze also said such an endorsement will encourage members of his congregation to support the movement.

“Wholesome message from Adeboye. This is what Nigerian youths need to hear. They need to know that their leaders, especially religious ones, have their back,” the radio broadcaster explained.

“We don’t need him to join the protest. With this, Redeemers will be urged to join the peaceful protest.

“From the beginning of this year, I have been so proud of him. I did have a bet with one of my friends that Pastor Adeboye will be the first to speak in support of the #EndSARS protest.”

“If there is anything I said about Pastor Adeboye in the past that might have been misconstrued as rude, please forgive us. We want our future to be bright. We don’t want to be derailed emotionally physically and spiritually.”

Pastor Adeboye issue great warning to Nigerian gov’t.

During the programme themed, ‘Wonderful’, Adeboye, who preached on the topic, ‘Seven Wonderful Things About God’, said God is not a Father Christmas and as such, He can be “wonderfully angry.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has advised the Federal Government to give Nigeria a lasting solution to secession agitations and its economic challenges by restructuring the country, Noble Reporters Media reports.

Advertisements

According to Adeboye, the restructuring of the country must be done “as soon as possible” to forestall a breakup of the various socio-ethnic components that make up Nigeria.

The 78-year-old cleric stated this on Saturday at a 60th Independence Day Celebration Symposium co-organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the Nehemiah Leadership Institute.

At the symposium with the theme, ‘Where will Nigeria be in 2060?’ monitored by TopNaija, Adeboye proposed the adoption of a merger of the British style of government and the American system of government to pave the way for Nigeria’s future.

The former lecturer at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Lagos said, “Why can’t we have a system of government that is 100 per cent Nigerian, unique to us? For example, we started on with the British system of government, somewhere along the line, we moved over to the American system of government.

Advertisements

“Can’t we have a combination of both and see whether it could help us solve our problems because in Mathematics if you want to solve a problem, you try what we call Real Analysis, then if it doesn’t work, then you move on to Complex Analysis and see whether that will help you. If that fails, you move on to Vector Analysis and so on.

“I believe that we might want to look at the problems of Nigeria in a slightly different manner. Some people feel that all our problems will be over if Nigeria should break up. I think that is trying to solve the problems of Nigeria as if it is a Simple Equation. The problems of Nigeria will require quite a bit of Simultaneous Equation and some of them are not going to be Linear either – forgive me I am talking as a Mathematician.

“Why can’t we have a system of government that will create what I will call the United States of Nigeria? Let me explain. We all know that we must restructure. It is either we restructure or we break, you don’t have to be a prophet to know that one. That is certain – restructure or we break up.

“Now, we don’t want to break up, God forbid. In restructuring, why don’t we have a Nigerian kind of democracy? At the federal level, why don’t we have a President and a Prime Minister?

Advertisements

“If we have a President and a Prime Minister and we share responsibilities between these two so that one is not an appendage to the other. For examples, if the President controls the Army and the Prime Minister controls the Police. If the President controls resources likes oil and mining and the Prime Minister controls finance and inland revenue, taxes, customs etc. You just divide responsibilities between the two.

“At the state level, you have the governor and the premier, and the same way, you distribute responsibilities between these people in such a manner that one cannot really go without the other. Maybe we might begin to tackle the problems.”

Adeboye noted that the place of traditional rulers must be recognised and restored in governance.

He added, “If we are going to adopt the model, then we need to urgently restore the House of Chiefs. I have a feeling that one of our major problems is that we have pushed the traditional rulers to the background and I believe that is a great error particularly for a great country like Nigeria.

Advertisements

“I find it very ridiculous that one will ask a traditional ruler to inform the chairman of his local government before he travels.

“Go to any town in Nigeria, everybody in the town knows the paramount ruler in the town and they respect him (but) many of them don’t even know the name of the chairman of their local government.

“The traditional rulers are the actual landlords, they control the respect of their people. Their people will listen to them much more, I am sorry to say, than they will listen to some politicians.”

“Without any doubt, we must restructure and do it as soon as possible. A United States of Nigeria is likely to survive than our present structure,” he concluded.

COVID-19: Journey to Normalcy has began – Adeboye

>>> Nigeria will survive COVID-19 first <<<

The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has declared that Nigeria will survive the scare of Covid-19 before other high-risk countries in the world.

Adeboye gave the pleasant and hope-filed message through his broadcast to church members on Sunday, April 19, available on Twitter.

His message came as a sigh of relief and hope amid the mounting pressure and unrest over the escalating cases of coronavirus in the country.

Pastor Adeboye Speaking on Sunday, declared that the “journey to normalcy has started.

“He also said Nigeria and Africa will recover from Coronavirus crisis before the rest of the world.

“I believe that I have good news for us. I believe that the journey to normalcy has started,” Adeboye said.

“I am believing God that your pastors will soon return to their normal duties probably at most, I will spend one more Sunday with you after which the pastors will be back to their duties in Jesus name.

“The return journey to normalcy might not be very rapid or sudden. It might be gradual but it will be steady. I sincerely hope that when the battle is over, we will give all the glory to God.”

Adeboye urged all members to observe stay at home and suspend any journey abroad after the lockdown is relaxed.

“After the lockdown has been lifted, any journey abroad that is not essential, please suspend it. “God is going to grant Nigeria and Africa healing before the rest of the world so stop jumping up and down. If the journey is not essential, don’t go.”

Adeboye further stressed on the need to maintain personal hygiene during the pandemic period and getting close to God.

COVID-19 will be defeated in Africa first – Pastor Adeboye.

Amidst rising deaths as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, globally, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, on Sunday said the journey to normalcy had begun.

In the wake of the emergence of the virus which has infected over 2.3 million people globally and killed over 150,000, many nations around the world have effected lockdown and restrictions on movement on citizens to curb the spread of the virus, from which over half a million persons have recovered.

Despite the lockdown, which was also enforced in Nigeria, many continue to die daily as scientists across the globe battle against time to find a vaccine for the virus, which first emerged in Wuhan, China in December, 2019.

In Nigeria, over 500 persons have been infected while about 19 deaths have so far been recorded even as the federal and state governments locked down large swathes of the nation to curb the spread of COVID-19.

But Adeboye, a former lecturer, who superintends over one of the largest churches, with millions of members across the globe, in a televised broadcast on Sunday, said “the return to normal living will commence in a matter of weeks”.

Scientists have argued that it would take months for a vaccine to be developed for coronavirus and many nations may have to curtail social gatherings and employ stringent social measures to ensure the virus does not do more damage.

Since the lockdown in Nigeria, many church leaders, including Adeboye, whose church headquarters is in Ogun, one of the states under a federal government-initiated lockdown, have held online services with their members since public gatherings have equally been banned.

Ogun, Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory have been under a complete lockdown for over three weeks.

Adeboye had, in the wake of the emergence of the virus in Nigeria, revealed how God told him the world would experience a ‘compulsory holiday’.

‘‘I have good news for you. The return journey to normalcy has begun,’’ Adeboye told members on Sunday. ‘’Very soon your pastors will return to their duty posts. I have perhaps one more Sunday to spend with you (televised broadcast), then everything will return to normal.’’

Adeboye, who lauded the efforts of doctors in curtailing the scourge for the past few weeks, however, urged members and indeed the global community to continue ensuring high hygienic habits to ensure the world is not hit by a worse pandemic any time soon.

In Nigeria, he urged the federal government, (which has one of its top officials, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as a member of the RCCG), to always include the clergy in any future committees set up to tackle national health challenges as they were key in helping to contain such outbreaks.

COVID-19: God knows of this pandemic and he is doing this to show his might – Adeboye.

.. COVID-19 will never go away but reduce – Adeboye

RCCG General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye says God told him in the beginning of the year that there will be a compulsory holiday worldwide and that he would use the plague to prove to the whole world that he is still the Almighty God.

He said this during a sermon in his church on Sunday morning.

In his words;

He told me loud and clear that this year, the whole world is going to be on compulsory holiday. I know the last time we got close to the world being on holiday. It was after 9-11. Remember there was this attack in America on the World Trade Center towers that all planes were grounded, at least around America.

So when he said the whole world is going to be on compulsory holiday, I thought maybe something like that is going to happen. Now, if that is what it meant and somebody had prophesied it and it happened, the Interpol would have come and picked the follow and said you had about the plot, you knew when they were planning this thing and you didn’t speak.

But now, the compulsory holiday is here. You can see the major nations of the world locking down. The smaller nations are also going to be locked down. This is because nobody wants to travel by air because if you travel by air and there is just one person on that plane that is infected, they would look for you and put you on Quarantine.

Compulsory holiday because my daddy says he wants to show the world that he is still the one in control. He wants to show those of us who thinks hat we are someone that Heaven is still his throne and the whole eart, his foot stool. So if you think that you are big, he is compel you to seat down at home and not move at least for two weeks.

The good news about this is that as soon as he has proved to the whole world that he can shut down the whole earth if he wants, then he would remove the plague.

How long before that happens, I am sorry I can’t tell you but from the look fromthe look of things, he is already achieving his purpose if he stops the plague now. The world by now should know that there is someone called the Almighty” he said

The clergyman added that Coronavirus would never be washed away like some prophets have predicted. He said the only thing is the virus would subside but that it will never go away.

Even if she cannot cook, it doesn’t diminish her role in man’s life – Daddy freeze tackles Adeboye

Media personality, Daddy Freeze, has fired back at Pastor Adeboye after the cleric took to his Twitter page to advice single men against marrying women who can not cook.

Reacting, the On-Air personality made it known to Adeboye that women are not cooks or maids.

In his words;

”So he can afford to pay his entire January salary as first fruit and 10 percent monthly as tithe, right? Just asking sir.

“A woman is more than a cook or a maid servant. These in my humble opinion, should not be the priority when choosing a wife in this decade.

“Although a woman who can cook is definitely a plus, as @tastebudzng has proven, we have to be careful not to discriminate against women who can’t.

“Did Eve know how to cook? The scriptures are silent on it. She was flesh of Adam’s flesh and bone of his bone; not his cook.

“Genesis 2:23 New Living Translation
“At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’”

“Martha was also too busy cooking, that she almost missed out on the blessings Mary was receiving from Christ, I believe we as Christians, should focus more on what Mary was doing, instead of making little things an issue like Martha was.

“Luke 10 ,New Living Translation
“[40] But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” [41] But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! [42] There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”

“A wife has a greater role to play in a mans life than being his cook, if she can fine, if she can’t it doesn’t diminish her qualities as a woman. ~FRZ”

Toke Makinwa, Daddy Freeze blast Adeboye after saying Men should not marry women that can’t cook

Ifedayo Olarinde, Nigerian media personality better known as Daddy Freeze, has tackled Enoch Adeboye, general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), over his counsel on marriage.

Adeboye had on Monday charged his “sons” to refrain from marrying ladies who can’t cook or do chores.

Joining the fray of people who took to the social media platforms to bare their mixed opinion on the matter, Freeze argued that women are more than cooks or servants in relationships.

“A woman is more than a cook or a maid servant. These in my humble opinion, should not be the priority when choosing a wife in this decade,” he wrote in a lengthy Instagram post, alongside a screenshot of the cleric’s tweet.

“Although a woman who can cook is definitely a plus, as @tastebudzng has proven, we have to be careful not to discriminate against women who can’t.

“Did Eve know how to cook? The scriptures are silent on it. She was flesh of Adam’s flesh and bone of his bone; not his cook.”

Also reacting, Toke Makinwa, an on-air-personality, said only those who think themselves sons to the 65-year-old clergyman should be bothered about his controversial advice.

“When Pastor Adeboye says ‘my sons’, ask yourself if you’re a member of his flock. Are you his spiritual child? If no, why are you bothered? Let him advise his own,” the actress wrote on Twitter.

“If it’s not for you, jump and pass, my friends. I promise you won’t go to hell by facing your front. Cooking is not restricted to a gender.

“Guys learn how to cook so you don’t base the entirety of picking a life partner on your belly. If you don’t want to, make enough to hire a chef. Life is too short to be triggered all the time.”

Toke is known for her unapologetic opinions on marriage, lifestyle, and other matters of social importance, having accused African parents of “ruining the lives” and being “the world’s worst.”

The TV host, who once described herself as a “fan of separation in marriages,” had split from Maje Ayida, her former husband, for allegedly cheating on her after they had dated for close to eight years.
