Ayo Adesanya speak on being better Actress without husband.

She revealed in a recent interview, “Being a single mother gives me more time to do my work. I’m in my comfort zone and I have more time to do things. Acting has been fine but challenging like every other thing in life is. One just has to deal with the challenges and move on. There were times I got tired and felt like given up. But I always reminded myself that there was someone somewhere wishing me good luck and I would continue working.

“As far as I’m concerned, actors are irreplaceable. I wake up every morning thanking God that I’m still around. I get inspired every day and it gives me the drive to keep pushing. I consider myself lucky because people wonder that I’m still here at this stage but it’s just God’s blessings.

“I try to keep things private and I think it has paid off for me. I don’t force myself to entertain people and I don’t go over the top with things, so it has been effortless.”

Adesanya also noted that social media has been of great help to her career. She added, “Social media is a huge part of our careers now. You have to feed it because if you don’t, nobody would know what you are up to. It’s the number one place to showcase whatever you’re doing at the moment. If you are the brand ambassador for a product, that is where they would come to check you up. In fact, it’s becoming more of competition right now but I won’t buy followers.”

Nkechi Blessing: Slay Queens no longer uploading photos because they are in their real homes.

Nkechi Blessing, Nigerian actress, says slay queens no longer flaunt their pictures online because they now reside in their real homes due to the federal government’s stay at home order.

Slay queen is a term used to refer to girls who do not have a wealthy background but appear as if they do by showing off on social media especially with pictures in exotic buildings and cars.

The actress took to her social media page on Friday to disclose that the government’s directive restricting movement to contain spread of COVID-19 has reduced the rate at which such queens post pictures on social media.

“Now our slay queens can’t snap again because they’re in their real homes,” she wrote on Instagram.

Nkechi went on to call on such people to ensure they make the most of their time to take care of their homes before trying to impress others.

“Take care of home before impressing the streets they won’t hear, now it has happened,” she added in a mixture of English and Pidgin.

Tacha Akide, popular Nigerian reality TV star, has berated Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, for failing to address Nigerians over Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

In a two-minute 25 seconds video she uploaded to one of her social media pages on Friday, Akide wondered why Nigerians accepted abnormal things without holding their elected leaders to account.

She said, “It seems like we as a country are forgetting who we are. We are forgetting that Nigeria is one of the most populated black countries in the world.

“Nigeria is the giant of Africa but look at us, getting addressed on Twitter, did we vote for our President from Twitter?

“Over 14 million people voted for the person on seat yet we are getting addressed from Twitter and everybody is just seating down like it’s normal.

“The average Nigerian works on a daily basis and get paid on a daily basis. We have a lot of Nigerians that do blue collar jobs; if they do not work in a day, they will not get money to eat for that day yet we want to have a lockdown, what do people eat? Conductors, mothers that go to the market to sell stuff to people, what do they eat?

“When you say lockdown and everyone should stay home, what will people be able yo eat? When you say lockdown you should also provide food for people. Hunger is deadlier than this virus.

“So you don’t sit in your office and address Nigerians on Twitter because you think we are fools.

“This is the time that we need you (Buhari), we need to find hope from your speech if not everyday at least twice a week.”

Nigeria now has 81 confirmed cases of Coronavirus and one recorded death.
