Popular social media guru, Ibrahim Salawu also known as Unilag Olodo has revealed shocking details about Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele’s hostile behaviour to her workers. Contrary to the claim that Funke does not treat her workers well, Ibrahim who use to work for the veteran actress, in a lengthy post explained she kind of person and why she is perceived as hostile my some people.
According to Unilag Olodo, Funke Akindele is not an Angel neither is she perfect but one thing he is sure of is that the mother of two does not entertain laziness and any lazy person will not like her.
Read all he said below;
“FunkeAkindele is far from an angel, here’s my personal encounter with her and why I am sick of what the average Nigerian youth is becoming. This morning I was having a conversation with some friends when the topic of Funke Akindele came up and I was crushed by their comments about her from what they heard on social media. They had no idea I had a personal relationship with her and when I asked questions about how they got their minds set against someone they knew nothing about they went mute. This celebrity life sometimes is a gift and a curse.
I was amazed at how noise on social media is capable of swaying the minds of seemingly reasonable people after hearing just one person’s account of a story. Social media is an amazing tool with infinite opportunity to impact lives positively and open up minds to endless possibilities, but today it is being weaponised, used to destroy people’s reputation and livelihood – ‘all this for a drop of clout?’.
Until you fall victim of this extremely illogical mob justice carried out on social media today, you won’t understand how senseless and horrible it is. How do you expend so much energy casting judgement on social media, just to appear morally sound off one-sided accounts? Ironic, isn’t it?
One of the first things I learnt was the importance of listening and analysing both sides of the story before having an opinion and making judgement. I thought that was basic knowledge for every adult, apparently not.
Life is hard, funds are scarce and the government keeps dropping policies that don’t favour the masses, and this in my opinion has to be the only logical reason why people are so bitter and angry, ready to lend their voice to the destruction of whoever happens to be their victim for that day. This crab in a barrel mentality needs to be checked.
Yes, everybody loves the classic US versus THEM scenario. We feel weak so the moment we’re presented with a David & Goliath story, everybody is eager to whip out their slingshot. It’s just sad that we believe we are wise, yet we still operate on the ‘person wey cry pass na him dey innocent’ level. Anyway, before I spend the entire day lamenting about the sorry mindset of my peers, let me share my experience working for Funke Akindele.
In 2017, I worked as her PR lead at Scene One Productions. It was a 9-5 job which also had me visiting her home more often than I expected. I was shocked at how she was almost nothing like her social media personality the moment work was involved.
Funke Akindele is one of the most focused, driven, and hardworking person you’ll ever meet! From non-stop rehearsals, writing and reviewing scripts, auditioning new actors and spending so much time on shoots with her co-stars, I realised why she is one of the most successful actors and businessperson in the Nigerian entertainment scene.
During my time shuffling between her office and her house, I saw exactly how she treated her office and domestic staff. The part of her you got was greatly dependent on your attitude to work. She is hands-on and very intimidating; if you were unsure of the role you had to play on her team or just incompetent, you definitely would hate her. One simply does not build an empire by joking around when it’s time to work.
Conversely, the way she treated those who did their job well, especially the cooks, cleaners and her entire domestic staff would leave you thinking she was their mother. She joked around with them, allowed freedom to express themselves and created an enabling environment, at the same time, she wouldn’t hesitate to scold anyone who misbehaved.
I read tweets of people talking about how mean and insensitive she was and all I could see from my experience with her was the fact that those people were most likely just lazy. Nigerian youths hate to be called lazy, but we are always looking for shortcuts and free meals, just look at how youths and even celebrities are defending fraudsters and justifying fraud on social media today.”

These are some of the reactions from fans as new wedding photos of actors Adedimeji Lateef and Adebimpe Oyebade surfaced online moments ago.
“Only God knows how many weddings we don wish them congratulations. I know this is really sha. Finally congratulations to them.“
“Please did they get married for real or nah fim”
Sharing the photos as shot by popular wedding photographer, Soji Oni, Adebimpe Oyebade wrote “I don’t need paradise because I found you” while Lateef Adedimeji wrote “To forever with you”
Although many congratulatory messages have started filtering in, many are confused as this is not the first time sch a stunt is being pulled by the couple.
Last year, they released photos from their alleged pre-wedding session only to admit weeks later that it was for a movie.
Also, the other day, Bimpe released photos from her traditional wedding to actor Damola Olatunji and gave everyone the impression that it was for real, only to admit it was for a movie almost days after.
Bimpe Oyebade weds Damola Olatunji in movie Now many are not sure if this supposed wedding with Lateef Adedimeji is for real.
The actors are yet to respond to the media site known to Noble Reporters Media as at the time of this report.
Meanwhile, weeks ago, Nollywood actress, Adebimpe Oyebade denied having an affair or fling with her colleague, Lateef Adedimeji because he is not her type of man.
The actress disclosed this in a recent interview with BroadwayTV.
”I am not in a relationship with Lateef Adedimeji, but we are friends. I won’t deny the fact that we are friends, we are close friends. We are not in a relationship; we are both in different relationships.
“When you are too close to the opposite sex, it’s a problem. People think you are dating. Lateef is only the one that is close to me, I am not the kind that makes a lot of friends when it comes to the industry”.
Speaking on the reason she cannot date Lateef, she said; “The problem started with the fans, they call us ‘Momma and Zaddy’.
“A lot of fans like us together; they want us to be together. He is a good man, I already see him as a family. I won’t want to be with someone I see as a family. Nothing can ever happen between us because I cannot marry someone in the spotlight.
“I would say no to Lateef if he asks me out because he is my friend and I already see him as a brother. He is not my type”, she added.
Nigerian novelist-cum-feminist, Chimamanda Adichie finally breaks silence over the death of James Adichie, her father, who recently passed away from a brief illness.
On June 10, the professor of statistics breathed his last at the Chira Memorial Hospital situated within Awkuzu Oyi local government where he was admitted to. The highly regarded author had remained silent on the tragic news as close relatives engaged the press.
However, on Saturday, she took to her Facebook page to pen an emotional tribute where she conveyed her grief.
Noting she had dreaded such possibility due to his age, Chimamanda described the experience of planning his funeral while being stuck in the United States due to the pandemic as “bewildering.”
“And just like that my life has changed forever. June 7, there was Daddy on our weekly family zoom call, talking and laughing. June 8, he felt unwell,” the author wrote.
“Still, when we spoke he was more concerned about my concussion. June 9, we spoke briefly, my brother Okey with him. “Ka chi fo,” he said. His last words to me. June 10, he was gone.
“Because I loved my father so much, so fiercely, so tenderly, I always at the back of my mind feared this day. But he was in good health. I thought we had time.
“I thought it wasn’t yet time. I have come undone. I have screamed, shouted, rolled on the floor, pounding things. I have shut down parts of myself.
“We are broken, bereft, holding on to one another, planning a burial in these COVID-scarred times. I’m stuck in the US, waiting. The Nigerian airports are closed. Everything is confusing, bewildering.
“Sleep is the only respite. On waking, the enormity, the finality, strikes – I will never see my father again. Never again. I crash and go under. The urge to run and run, to hide from this.”
Before his death, Chimamanda had recounted her family’s experience during the Biafran War, admitting they had lost everything while their career trajectory sharply changed and divided.
“I saw him last on March 5th in Abba. I had planned to be back in May. We planned to record his stories of my great grandmother. Grief is a cruel kind of education,” she added.
“You learn how ungentle mourning can be, full of anger. You learn that your side muscles will ache painfully from days of crying. You learn how glib condolences can feel.”
Reality TV star, Katie Price has opened up on her wish for her autistic son, hoping that he dies before she does, just after doctors issued a stark warning about Harvey’s health.
The 42-year-old was left fearing the worst earlier this week when her eldest son was rushed to the hospital, after falling ill at daughter Princess’ birthday party.
He was discharged and is currently recovering at home. Speaking about his condition, the mum-of-five said she was warned by health experts that he is at serious risk of dying from a heart attack if they don’t make changes.
And she confessed that she hopes the 18-year-old will ‘go’ before she dies, as he won’t be able to cope without her.
“The doctors have told me he’s at high risk of having a heart attack,” she told the Sun.
“I know it’s horrible to say, but I wish he’d go before me because he wouldn’t cope without me.
“He’d be so heartbroken and wouldn’t understand where I’d gone.’ Katie also confessed her worries over Harvey’s health as he ‘weighs 27-and-a-half stone’ and gets ‘out of breath’ from walking up the stairs.
“I can’t see him living past 50 unless we sort his weight and his breathing out,” she added.
“We try everything but cutting down food is hard.’ Harvey is blind and autistic, and has also been diagnosed with Prader-Willi syndrome – which affects his speech and movement. People with Prader-Willi are constantly hungry, which can lead to obesity.
The teenager suffered from chest pains at Princess’ birthday party and was rushed to hospital in an ambulance.
The Celebrity Big Brother winner later shared a video on YouTube, telling fans:
“He kept complaining of chest pains. I said ‘how does it feel?’ and he said ‘like needles.’ Straight away, because of his complex needs, do I call the doctor or do I call the ambulance? ‘I don’t like it when people waste ambulances’ time. He’s at high risk because of coronavirus, he’s high risk because of his obesity and the steroids he’s on and his medical condition so I did call 999.”
Katie was reportedly supported by ex-husbands Kieran Hayler and Peter Andre over the ordeal.
“Both Pete and Kieran messaged Katie afterwards, offering help and support,” an insider told the Sun.
“She’s on really good terms with them now and they were both Harvey’s stepdad once, and he’s their children’s brother.
“They were both relieved when Harvey was discharged and went home.”
