Wizkid has unveiled stunning visuals for his single “Smile” with H.E.R on Thursday(Sept 22).
The 30yr-old singer and songwriter tweeted, “SMILE VIDEO”. The video was directed by Meji Alabi who also directed Burna Boy’s ‘Monsters You Made’ most recently.
The feel-good clip stars his kids, Zion, Ayo, and Bolu (of whom he dedicated the video to) and a group of other people who seem to have different reasons to smile despite the state of the world at the moment.
If you watch closely you will see a smiley face in almost all through the video, whether in the form of a real face or as an emoji.
“I can be your substance/ It’s easy when the love don’t hide (no hide, no hide) / Had to learn from my mistakes / Company creates companions,” Wizkid sings.
“Smile” is part of the album “Made In Lagos” which is expected to be released to the public on October 15th and it is also Wizkid’s first solo work since his participation in “BROWN SKIN GIRL ” with Beyoncé, her daughter Blue Ivy and SAINt JHN in the song and visual album, “Black Is King”.

Star Boy, as his popularly known, took to Instagram page to share Burna Boy’s Album cover on his Instagram status. He wrote; “Eje Mi”, which means My Blood in Yoruba Language.

The Album has peaked on Apple Music top songs worldwide and has moved to no. 7 on the United State Apple Music Top Albums. Truly, this is Burna Boy’s Year!!!
Banky W has advised fans to stop trying to drag Wizkid and Davido into the success recorded by Burna Boy and his new album Twice As Tall.
The album which is currently trending just hours of release has seen fans compare Burna Boy to Wizkid and Davido with claim placing him above them.
The claim has now been set straight by Banky W who wrote: “Dear fans, please note: Acknowledging @burnaboy’s unquestionable greatness doesn’t mean we must bring up (or put down) Wiz, David or anyone else. And vice versa.”
The album on Boomplay had a caption showing Burna Boy describing it as “the album about a period of time in my life. It’s an album about the struggle for freedom. It’s an album about life in general, real life, good times, bad times, happy times, sad times, great times.”
The album has been praised by prominent Nigerians who label it a Grammy Award class.
Singer Wizkid has taken to social media where he revealed that Disney owes him $100 million.
This might be connected to his contribution to the Beyonce album The Lion King: The Gift.
Wizkid and other african artistes starred in the album which is the soundtrack to the Lion King animation by Disney.
The soundtrack album now has a visual titled Black is King.
Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, Jay-Z and Blue Ivy Carter all made appearances on the set.
A release promised that the visual album will highlight “the voyages of Black families, throughout time” and tell the story of “a young king’s transcendent journey through betrayal, love and self-identity. Black Is King is an affirmation of a grand purpose, with lush visuals that celebrate Black resilience and culture.”
Popular Nigerian musician, Wizkid is celebrating a new age today and fans have taken to social media to wish him a happy birthday.
Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (born 16 July 1990), also known as Wizkid is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He began recording music at the age of 11 and managed to release a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed.
Wizkid signed a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) in 2009.
He rose to prominence after releasing “Holla at Your Boy“, the lead single from his debut studio album Superstar (2011). In 2016, Wizkid achieved international recognition following his collaboration with Drake on the global hit, “One Dance”, which reached number one in 15 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
